A well-regarded residential aged care provider in Cairns is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager to lead clinical operations for a 90-bed facility, with strong support for internationally qualified nurses navigating registration and visa pathways.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and roster a team of RNs, ENs, and Personal Care Workers
• Oversee care planning, clinical governance, and accreditation compliance
• Manage relationships with families, GPs, and allied health providers
• Support staff development including upskilling and mentoring

Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• 3+ years aged care leadership experience
• Strong understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards
• Internationally qualified nurses welcome — registration support provided
